Dark Wood

Derivable Box Bench - Celtic & Gothic

Derivable Box Bench - Celtic & Gothic Here is a little box bench that is decoratively carved with celtic and gothic motifs after a medieval design. It seats two, and is executed in a rich dark wood texture with a charming patchwork quilt cushion. The placement node for this bench is unique, as it sits the bench against a wall, instead of through or too far from the wall. Matches the wood and style of Elfin Cottages!

And it’s derivable!

Side Board - Classic

Side Board - Classic What better way to keep lunch and tea supplies close at hand in your Palace Rooms than this classic sideboard. Built of a richly dark wood, with gilded accents, it will grace any room really and be a testament to your hosting skills. It’s a useful piece, allowing you to place any display items on top of it, as it functions just as a display table does.

It also coordinates well with Whystler’s sidetable-classic adding some continuity of design to your home.

Whyst Library

Whyst Library Experience the warmth of dark carved wood, flickering candlelight, shelf upon infinite shelf of books containing every last word written by Whystics and many others soon! You come here, to sit within the quiet security of the Whyst Library’s tower. You have complete privacy. You will not be disturbed, unless you invite friends for a book party!

This is the first of a series of worlds that allow you to enjoy actual virtual books. Yes, you can actually open them, turn pages, and read them right here in IMVU!!! Because the Whyst library is a furniture room (with only one furniture node), you can import virtual books, like this one (click here), and they will place themselves magically on the lectern for your reading pleasure.

Ancient history, arcane knowledge, works of original fiction, picture albums, a yearbook made by your group of friends... All will be at your fingertips here in the Whyst Library. Check the product page of each book you purchase for that volume’s individual opening and page turning commands.

CAUTION: It is wise to only load one *one* book at a time into the library from your IMVU inventory. Since there is only one furniture node in this room, more than one book will overlap on the lectern rendering your experience both confusing and unreadable. Also, the books have quite a few images and animations packed into one file, and keeping your room clean with only one book at a time will make your loading very easy.
